Also, I plan to use WEST System Epoxy with a low density filler. Does = anyone feel there is another or better alternative they would recommend. The Frers design specifications sheet indicated that the keels were = faired with vinylester resin and biaxial glass. I assume the biaxial = glass they are referring to was just for the trailing edge, since my = keel is certainly not fully encapsulated in glass. Is that a correct = assumption or were some keels fully glassed when the were faired? The keel has a fiberglass "clamshell" fully encasing a lead alloy fin shaped plug. The void between the clamshell and the plug is filled, for the most part, with a putty. The foil shape is entirely in the shape of the clamshell. Allan M.
