Hi Carl,
You're welcome to come out with us anytime. I'm in South Central CT
(Westbrook) if you want to make the trip. We'll have it in the water
sometime the week of the 18th.

Subject: [frers-list]Help for a newbie
I am a prospective Frers 33 buyer and contacted Dave who suggested I post a
note to this discussion list. So my apologies in advance for spamming you
all.
I live in Cos Cob and sail out of Indian Harbor and am very interested in a
Frers 33 based on lots of recommendations and a fair amount of reading. It
seems like an ideal boat for what I am looking for; well built/designed with
some get up and go that I can race 1 design or PHRF when I want and also use
for taking the family/friends out and or doing some weekend cruising with
the
wife and 2 boys.
My problems/questions are several fold;
1) I'd love to get on/see a Frers 33 live! I haven't seen one in probably 15
years and I don't know anyone in the area who owns one, although I have a
lead
on one in Riverside. If anyone knows of a boat owner in the Cos Cob,
southern
CT area who might be willing to show me around one, it would be greatly
appreciated
2) Finding good boats for sale. There are a couple out there that I am
checking
on but I would love to hear if anyone is aware of boats that are or may be
coming up for sale.
3) Moisture around the chain plates - does anyone have any experience with
this
on one of their boats? How big a deal was it and where/how did you resolve
it
if you did?
Thanks for listening and sorry again for the spam.
Regards,
Carl Gish
