Steve,

I think you will need a shorter mast to clear Destin on a regular basis, 
especially during the summer.  Standard mast height above waterline is 48.5' plus 
instruments, etc.  My measured height in calm water is 50.0'  A 5 deg. heel 
gets me under Brooks with only the radio antenna hitting.  I don't think you can 
count on more than 48' at Destin except during the winter.

Total length of standard spar is 50' with approx. 44' above the deck.
