[frers-list]New foilMaybe if we all put a bunch of helium balloons in that empty space under the cockpit we could save 50 pounds for a whole lot less. What do you think?
Keep smiling and have a great season!

Well I am pulling up stakes after talking to Composite Solutions, a manufacturer of custom rudders and other things carbon. The budget pricing for a replacement carbon rudder is about $7500.

I would like to stake out a position that we move toward a carbon rudder shaft/foil to lighten up the back end of the boat a bit. I weighed my rudder in at 112lbs and I know its dry. A carbon assy would be about 30lbs

I replaced the lower rudder bearing last week on September. The rudder post is worn so I'll going to have a new rudder built next year. Anybody have any suggestions for a builder?
