All, I know that Art is excited about the Larchmont NOODs and we should
all share that. One design racing is a fantastic way to judge your boats
performance with minimal excuses.
However, one small edit - the regatta is actually in Sept, not Aug (again,
Art's excitement coming through:)
One design racing: No Rating, no excuses. Its definately worth the small
challenge of getting the crew and boat together!

All you Long Isanders out there!
The class missed Nationals in Newport this year due to turnover, etc.
Let's not let the same thing happen to NOODs this year. We NEED a
one-design event on the calendar. Registration is now open and we really
need to get a division of 6 on the line again this year. Last year was
tremendously fun, with the winner up in the air until the last race. In
case you don't remember, three different boats got first place finishes in
the 5 races, but overall first went to the boat with 5 second place
finishes. Doesn't get much closer than that!
Who is in! Let's crank it up. August 8-9. There is plenty of time to
drum up crew, and if you need help post requests here and I'm sure you
will get takers!!
Please let me know your intentions ASAP so we can get the division locked
in. We classify this as our Long Island Sound Championships, so Sailing
World kicks in extra trophies. Also this year the sponsors include Sperry
Topsider (deck shoes for all????) and of course Mount Gay Rum, so you can
be sure that parties will exceed expectations!
