We've had the Tuning Guide posted for a few months now. I have a few minor changes to finalize it (rig measurements) so if anyone has any additional suggestions please let me know. The second item I have relates to some problem areas relating to bilge pump location and operation. 1.. The manual bilge pump is located on the port side of the cockpit just aft of the wheel and discharges overboard near the waterline. Convenient location but a long haul for the water to get overboard. I seem to be loosing suction. Difficult area to get to. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so how did you rectify it? 2.. Electric bilge pump located under the port settee with the discharge port side aft just above the manual bilge pump near the gunwhale. There is a float switch in the bilge and a strainer in the hose before it enters the pump. Either the pump is too small, not working properly or the discharge hose is too long. The result is that even if the bilge is full it takes forever to empty it using the electric bilge pump. Wolverine's manual bilge pump is in the same location as yours an=
d needs to be repaired/replaced. If you know anyone small enough to get bac=
k there, let me know.
Our automatic bilge pump is mounted near the fresh water system pump o=
n the starboard side aft of the engine. It's accessible from the cockpit la=
zerette.

down fairly deep in the bilge and that has worked pretty well. One th=
ing that does affect water pump out ability and you see it everywhere is th=
e tubing that is corrugated. Each little grove in that line slows the=
flow. For the best flow, and I didn't use it but should have, you wa=
nt a smooth walled line.

I learned this the hard way, but eve= rything works well at this point. As far as using the bilge pump located in= the cockpit, it's still connected and yes, it takes forever to pump the wa= ter out by hand.
