We've had the Tuning Guide posted for a few months now. I have a few minor changes to finalize it (rig measurements) so if anyone has any additional suggestions please let me know. The second item I have relates to some problem areas relating to bilge pump location and operation. 1.. The manual bilge pump is located on the port side of the cockpit just aft of the wheel and discharges overboard near the waterline. Convenient location but a long haul for the water to get overboard. I seem to be loosing suction. Difficult area to get to. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so how did you rectify it? 2.. Electric bilge pump located under the port settee with the discharge port side aft just above the manual bilge pump near the gunwhale. There is a float switch in the bilge and a strainer in the hose before it enters the pump. Either the pump is too small, not working properly or the discharge hose is too long. The result is that even if the bilge is full it takes forever to empty it using the electric bilge pump. Wondering if everyone has the same arrangement of if some have moved the bilge pump discharge location closer to the pump. Thanks in advance for your replies. The previous owners for Relentless mount= ed a bilge pump in the port locker under the port berth near the bulkhead w= all of the head and just forward of the batteries.  This works well an= d allows you some elbow room to replace the diaphragm periodically although= I never have replaced it.  I bought a small auto pump that would fit = down fairly deep in the bilge and that has worked pretty well.  One th= ing that does affect water pump out ability and you see it everywhere is th= e tubing that is corrugated.  Each little grove in that line slows the= flow.  For the best flow, and I didn't use it but should have, you wa= nt a smooth walled line.

The second ite= m I have relates to some problem areas relating to bilge pump location and = operation.
1.. The manual bilge pump is located on the port = side of the cockpit just aft of the wheel and discharges overboard near the= waterline.  Convenient location but a long haul for the water to get = overboard.  I seem to be loosing suction.  Difficult area to get = to.  Has anyone experienced this problem and if so how did you rectify= it?
2.. Electric bilge pump located under the port settee w= ith the discharge port side aft just above the manual bilge pump near the g= unwhale.  There is a float switch in the bilge and a strainer in the h= ose before it enters the pump.  Either the pump is too small, not work= ing properly or the discharge hose is too long.  The result is that ev= en if the bilge is full it takes forever to empty it using the electric bil= ge pump.  Wondering if everyone has the same arrangement of if some ha= ve moved the bilge pump discharge location closer to the pump.
Thanks in= advance for your replies.

Risoluto has a pump mounted on the bulkhead wall uner the = vanity in the head.  The discharge is piped out the side of the boat i= n the area of the head via a short hose.  A smaller person can reach t= he pump for servicing and the hose run is short for limited resistance.

The previous owners for Relentless mounted a bilge pump in the port lo= cker under the port berth near the bulkhead wall of the head and just forwa= rd of the batteries.  This works well and allows you some elbow room t= o replace the diaphragm periodically although I never have replaced it.&nbs= p; I bought a small auto pump that would fit down fairly deep in the bilge = and that has worked pretty well.  One thing that does affect water pum= p out ability and you see it everywhere is the tubing that is corrugated.&n= bsp; Each little grove in that line slows the flow.  For the best flow= , and I didn't use it but should have, you want a smooth walled line.

Hi Rod,

Wolverine's manual bilge pump is in the same location as yours an= d needs to be repaired/replaced. If you know anyone small enough to get bac= k there, let me know.

Our automatic bilge pump is mounted near the fresh water system pump o= n the starboard side aft of the engine. It's accessible from the cockpit lazerette.

Do I owe you any other measurements or photos for the tuning guide?
