We also went through a period such as you describe, however we chose a higher visibilty venue to display our lack of skills at the Newport Nationals some years ago. We were last every day, but I must admit we did learn a lot and had a lot of fun. Scary! As such, unless we find ourselves at least one experienced foredeck person, there's no way we can fly the chute and we'll be forced to race non-spin. If any of you know anyone who I can ask to sail on Risoluto who actually knows what they're doing with a spinnaker, please let me know. Also, remember to mark your calenders for the Housatonic Boat Club Invitational on Saturday, September 11th. This is my home club and the race committee has agreed to give us our own class start.
