Scott, More Magic will be at the Housatonic boat club and we will attempt to
find a foredeck person to help you out. We also went through a period such
as you describe, however we chose a higher visibilty venue to display our
lack of skills at the Newport Nationals some years ago. We were last every
day, but I must admit we did learn a lot and had a lot of fun. Jim (More
Magic)

Hi guys,

Risoluto will be present on the 10th and 11th, however, her crew will be
made up of 5 non-sailors and me. Scary!

As such, unless we find ourselves at least one experienced foredeck person,
there's no way we can fly the chute and we'll be forced to race non-spin.

If any of you know anyone who I can ask to sail on Risoluto who actually
knows what they're doing with a spinnaker, please let me know.

Also, remember to mark your calenders for the Housatonic Boat Club
Invitational on Saturday, September 11th. This is my home club and the race
committee has agreed to give us our own class start.

Hi guys, in the late fall I offered the suggestion that we might want to
consider an additional venue for some local one-design races. Both of the
above races (Branford and Pine Orchard) were mentioned as possibilities and
both clubs were more than willing to provide us with our own start provided
we field 5 boats or more. The dates for the races are Saturday and Sunday
Jully 10th and 11th. A couple of boats responded positively and they were,
as I recall: Wolverine, Brilliant, Risoluto and More Magic. We don't quite
have our 5 and I'm hoping to drum up a little more interest now that the
time is closer and we are all thinking about sailing. Is the interest still
there ? Can we attract a couple of more boats ?
Dave, isn't it about time for the yearly dues ? Are they still $50 ? Jim(
