Than= ks for raising the issue Art. I=0A have attached copies of everything you s= hould need for both Branford and Pine Orchard races. If your email server s= trips attachments, you may get this info from www.ecsa.net as Jim Barker sa= ys.

I have at Jim's request, attached a copy of the Frers 33 class r= ules which can also be found on the Frers 33 Class website. Ordinarily, PHR= F handicaps assume you are sailing to your class rules unless it specifical= ly authorizes other changes. For example, like our class rules, ECSA allows= you to remove the V-berth cushions for racing, while Narragansett Bay PHRF= allows removal of all cushions. When we race one design we follow the clas= s rules and for PHRF racing, agree to=0A conform to local rules such as wit= h removing all the cushions in NB.

Note that when a required i= tem is removed from the boat (such as cushions or the stove) an equal weigh= t must be added in their place/location on the boat. The equal weight canno= t be beer, tools, a sail or some other useful item. It has to be unusable a= dded dead weight.

The rules have generally been adopted to all= ow the boats to be cruised and raced with very little work required to shif= t between the two modes. If there are any questions or concerns about = your boat and compliance with the rules, let me know. We will not conduct a= n inspection of boats but expect everyone to be on the honor system. <= br>
Good luck and we'll see you in Branford!

The Canuck's are welcome on Risoluto any= time!!!

I have pics of most Frers from Sunday's race thanks to a camera man I = had on board.  I'll send the links to the site and to Art in teh near = term.  Lucky for all of you we got great shots of most of your transom= 's with spinnaker's flying high.  Incidently, we also have some nice p= icks of your bows going the other way.

A good time was had by all sailors on Risoluto regardless of race stan= dings!

Hi Guys,

I don't see anything on the website with respect to the res= ults of the two regattas and the great weekend we all enjoyed at Branford a= nd Pine Orchard.  I assume that means that Dave and Wolverine are gett= ing ready for New York Race Week and that Art is enjoying Brilliant.=

As the lone Frers 33 owner in Canada I must say it was very= exciting and impressive to see 8 Frers 33s on the starting line on Sat and= 7 on Sunday.  To all who participated and to all the Frers 33 owners = and crews we met it was indeed great to meet you all and we really enjoyed = the weekend.  The spirit and camaraderie is alive and well in the clas= s as well as the competitive spirit that was likely instrumental in the for= mation of this excellent class.

Thanks to Jim Mormile(More Magic) who suggested the idea an= d a very special thanks to all who made it happen by participating (Wolveri= ne, Nunnehi, Heartbeat, Brilliant, Impulse,  More Magic, Risoluto and = Audacious)

Special thanks to those that allowed the Canuck crew of Equ= inox aboard your boats (Dave on Wolverine , Mark on Nummehi and Scott on Ri= soluto) to what turned out to be a very rewarding and satisfying learning e= xperience for us all.  I'm sure we all enjoyed the opportunity to get = aboard the other boats and have a good look around and pick up some tips an= d tricks.

It is great to be able to turn email addresses and photos o= f boats into faces and reality.

To those of you who thought about participating missed a re= ally great time and some competitive one design racing.  Hopefully the= opportunity will be there again next year and we can build on this event.<= /SPAN>

Thanks to all who participated and to all those who helped = turned Jim's vision into reality.  A sound building block for the clas= s and the Frers 33 championship.  look forward to see some photos on t= he site in the near future.

Regards and Fair Winds and Following Seas for the remainder= of the season.
