I am considering fitting them to help alleviate the override problem on the main winches. They will help maintain constant angle between the block and the winch and alleviate the need for pads under the winches. regards Rod Equinox. --Boundary_(ID_1FoEZS4ZiqflwwDmHaEUTQ) Content-type: text/html; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT

I thought all the Frers had those. The only time we have overlap problems is when you start with more than 3 wraps on a winch. Other than that I've never had one. The sheet then goes from the genoa car to this foot block (turning block) then to the winch. This way the angle of the sheet from the Foot Block to the winch is always constant and doesn't vary depending upon what jib/genoa you have up. In some cases the lead from the genoa car to the winch can be very slight which leads to wraps.
