Hi Guys,
In case you all ordered new sails I am looking for a good racing #3 and # 2
(140) for the Frers 33. Anyone interested that has either of these sails in
good condition let me know.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have foot/turning blocks fitted on their Frers 33 or seen them
fitted on similar size sailboats. I am considering fitting them to help
alleviate the override problem on the main winches. They will help maintain
constant angle between the block and the winch and alleviate the need for
pads under the winches.
regards
Rod

Do you meane the blocks on the tracks? I thought all the Frers had those.
The only time we have overlap problems is when you start with more than 3 wraps on a winch. Other than that I've never had one.

Thanks Frank,
A foot block normally goes aft of the lead block and track, usually close to
the gunwale of the boat. The sheet then goes from the genoa car to this
foot block (turning block) then to the winch. This way the angle of the
sheet from the Foot Block to the winch is always constant and doesn't vary
depending upon what jib/genoa you have up. In some cases the lead from the
genoa car to the winch can be very slight which leads to wraps.

Rod we've tied a piece of shock cord across the back end of the track
closest to the winch to keep overrides down, but we also have pads. I've
seen the arrangement you're talking about on 36 foot C&C's Jim
