I have a frers 36 and have done some of these jobs. Though the 36 is a bit =
bigger looking is seems they used similar parts and layout of parts are ali=
ke

1) The ice box drain was clogged and I had to remove the hose and fitt=
ing. To get to where he hose is attached o the drain fitting I had to conto=
rt my arm and reach there the locker under the sink to use a screw driver t=
o remove the hose clamp. Next I used either a pliers or channel lock and ab=
le to loosen up the nut.

2) I did install a Vetus screw type vent not on the hatch put across f=
rom the head just slightly aft of the V berth. On the top side it is about =
a 1 ft outboard from the mast and 2 ft forward of the mast on the starboard=
side. Not in the head. These all have flanges for attaching from the topsi=
de and most manufactures sell internal trim flanges to clean up the visual =
from the inside. All of these manufactures include good suggestions on inst=
allations

Subject: [frers-list]Maintenance Items

Has anyone replaced the drain hose on their icebox, there doesn't appear to=
be any easy access, perhaps I am missing something or my access around tha=
t area has been modified on my boat?

Has anyone installed a solar type vent on the coach roof or on one of the h=
atches. Considering one on the hatch in the head or through the deck to pr=
ovide 24/7 ventilation?

Has anyone fitted locker vents in the storage compartments under the settee=
s?

Regards
Rod
Equinox
