Once upon a time I needed to do an emergency fix to a motor mount and used
3M 5200 to re-attach the rubber to the metal parts of the mount.  It worked
so well that I re-worked the remaining 3 mounts, filling the v2 oids in the
stock mounts.  The net result was a very pleasing reduction in the overall
vibration of the engine into the hull.  I've got to believe there was also
a corresponding dampening effect in the cutlass bearing, and increasing its
life.
