Just happened to be on my boat today.

Hood is:

 30 7/8=E2=80=9D across at base
29=E2=80=9D front to back

Pod is:
29=E2=80=9D across bottom
12 3/4=E2=80=9D front to back at base
4 7/8=E2=80=9D front to back on top
24=E2=80=9D across the top
7=E2=80=9D deep top to bottom

I have 1 instrument on pod which I am eager to place on mast below the boom w=
ith all the others. Can never see it when pit man is working. Crew can mostl=
y never see it at all.

Have to agree that a 29=E2=80=9D x 30  7/8=E2=80=9D flat hatch cover would f=
acilitate crew moving across the boat as well.

Good luck!
