Not sure if I have any good photos laying around, but mine is done with dyn=
eema too. It=92s ran back to the pad-eye on each side of the transom with =
a fiddle block with becket & cam cleat on the ring for tensioning of the ru=
nners from the helm (I=92ve found it works out WAY better than having crew =
do it from the rail).
Attached to runner (pin shackle replaced with snap shackle for easier de-ri=
gging):
https://www.westmarine.com/buy/harken--57mm-carbo-air-fiddle-block--2042422=
?recordNum=3D1
Attached to deck:
https://www.westmarine.com/buy/harken--57mm-carbo-air-fiddle-block-with-bec=
ket-and-cam--2042208?recordNum=3D4
Something I keep wanting to do is attach some long shock cord from the back=
stay to the runners to keep them out of the way of the trimmers when one i=
s eased=85 but I=92m probably going to go with a synthetic backstay and ad=
d a flicker at the mast head next year, so maybe then.

I just happen to have gone through this in the last 2 weeks. The parts you=
will want are: Navtec "T" Ring Fits N740-05 Backing Plate NVN743-05 ( http=
s://www.velasailingsupply.com/navtec-t-ring-fits-n740-05-backing-plate/ ) =
and Navtec Rubber Plug for N740-05 Backing Plate (430.05) For 5/32" Wire NV=
N742-05 ( https://www.velasailingsupply.com/navtec-rubber-plug-for-n740-05-=
backing-plate-430-05-for-5-32-wire/ ) . The existing rubber plugs are guar=
anteed to be hardened and cracking. You might be able to get them out with=
out further damage, but you may as well replace them while you're doing it.=
I found and ordered mine through https://www.velasailingsupply.com/. Ver=
y good pricing and responsive customer service.
For the wire replacement, I used 6mm 1/4" dyneema (Amsteel).
I've attached pictures but don't know that they will come through the list-=
serve. Please send me an email at jay.g.raymond@gmail.com<mailto:jay.g.ray=
mond@gmail.com> and I will send you the pictures directly.
