Did you try banging downward on the rim of the quadrant? Maybe up and down t=
o break the corrosion free? Not too hard if you are trying to reuse it. Oth=
erwise maybe a propane torch on the quadrant near but not too close to the s=
haft?
I remember mine was brutal, certainly involved penetrating oil, torches and p=
robably even a saw. I also had a long term shoulder strain from swinging a s=
mall sledge hammer in that tight space.=20
