Return from "The Glory Road"
The Lost Dogs are back from their trek down Route 66, "The Glory Road." =
>From what I hear it was probably the most rewarding experience on the =
road, ever. I met up with them in the Mojave Desert and found them =
profoundly changed. I sense new vision, purpose and camaraderie. They =
are truly brothers, after sharing the road in a cramped RV for days on =
end. Each was melancholy at the end of the road, wishing to relive the =
entire trip again.=20
Jimmy Abegg was the perfect choice to bring along as photographer, =
videographer, road manager, and all things in-between. He did an =
excellent job documenting each and every moment, capturing the spirit of =
the road in still photos and film. Those of you who received postcards =
along the road can attest to his talent. Tom Gulotta joined the Dogs in =
New Mexico and added his own level of expertise.=20
Jimmy and Tom will be editing the hours and hours of footage for the =
upcoming DVD. The end result will be a DVD that will be charming, =
whimsical, comedic, poignant, educational, and above all else, fun and =
entertaining.
Please be patient while the guys finish writing songs for the CD. We =
don't have a completion date yet, but you will be the first to know. I =
am certain it will not be done by Christmas. The DVD is an even bigger =
project and we're going to take our time to make it more than simply a =
"fans only" release.=20
Route 66 T-shirts will be available at http://thelostdogs.com in the =
immediate future. We need to have more printed and shipped to the store. =
Children's sizes will also be available! We will also be offering sets =
of postcards (set of 8 -- one postcard representing each state) for sale =
on the website.=20
We are getting ready to put the Waterstone guitars (used on the tour) =
and other memorabilia up for auction on Ebay.=20
Lastly, we are keeping the donation options open until further notice. =
We are in dire need of funding to cover CD and DVD productions costs.=20
We want to thank all of you who have been extremely generous in your =
donations. This project became a reality because of you!
We will keep you updated as time goes by. You should make sure you're =
signed up The Lost Dogs myspace blog for up to the minute news.
Thanks for all the support!

LOST DOGS FOLLOW THEIR HEARTS BACK TO SAN FRANCISCO
For the first time in 15 years, The Lost Dogs return to the city where =
they once played a number of acclaimed nightclub concerts at the dawn of =
their career.
THE LOST DOGS CHRISTMAS SHOW comes to the Red Devil Lounge in San =
Francisco Tuesday, December 9 in their only Northern California public =
appearance. The band will be performing songs pulled from throughout =
their whimsical, eccentric and profoundly moving 16-year body of work, =
including selections from their 2007 release, "We Like To Have =
Christmas."
The Red Devil, located at the corner of Clay and Polk Streets, is an =
intimate 250-capacity club, not unlike another legendary SF club - =
Slim's - the venue The Lost Dogs last played in 1993 on a bill also =
featuring The 77s and Adam Again (fronted by the late Gene Eugene, an =
original Lost Dog).
All four current "Dogs" are veterans of the SF club scene in the 1980's =
and early '90s, when Christian-based rock was regularly featured at =
venues like Wolfgang's (1025 Columbus, now the site of Cobb's Comedy =
Club). In those days, Terry Taylor and Derri Daugherty would play the =
room alongside other ground-breaking artists like Larry Norman, Phil =
Keaggy, Randy Stonehill and Leslie Phillips. In ensuing years, Mike Roe =
performed at the Fillmore with the 77s while Lost Dogs drummer Steve =
Hindalong played Great American Music Hall with Buddy Miller and Mary =
Gauthier.
-----------------------------
Friday
12/12/2008 - 7:00 PM
The Venetian Theater, Albany, OR=20
For the second year in a row, you will have the opportunity to treat =
yourself (and your friends and neighbors!) to a wonderful dinner and a =
terrific concert, or if you want to skip the dinner just come out for =
the show.
The dinner is catered by Novak's Hungarian Restaurant and is some of the =
best Hungarian food you'll ever eat. Don't think you'd like Hungarian? =
Then you haven't eaten at Novak's.
Operation Homefront is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency =
assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind, =
and to wounded warriors when they return home.
Tickets are available online and will be available soon at all =
TicketsWest locations in Oregon, as well as by phone and the TicketWest =
website.
-----------------------------
Sunday
12/14/2008 - 7:30 PM
WOW Hall, Eugene, OR
Here's a little history. The WOW Hall has been a community gathering =
place since the first building (a church) was erected on the site. In =
1906 the Woodmen of the World (an organization that provided health =
benefits, life insurance and burial costs while undertaking charitable =
and recreational activities for children and adults) bought the church =
and renamed it Woodmen of the World Hall.
Since then, promoters have discovered the perfect music venue. One of =
the best things about the place is the beautiful hardrock maple =
'floating' dance floor.
The Lost Dogs love to play the WOW Hall. This year they are coming to =
town to benefit a local nonprofit organization, Free People.
Free People takes a number of Sundays a year at the WOW Hall (mostly =
during the winter months) to provide a hot meal, clothing, and =
entertainment to the homeless folks iin Eugene. The Lost Dogs =
participated in one of these events a couple of years ago and have been =
invited back again this year.
You may not know this, but the "Dogs" have a heart for the homeless and =
it is their vision that one day they would be able to tour from homeless =
shelter to homeless shelter, spreading love, hope, and acceptance.
Coming this December you will have an opportunity to support Free =
People, to help them help others. Even if you cannot make it to the =
concert you can still buy a ticket. This is definitely a worthwhile =
cause. All proceeds from ticket sales are going to Free People.

Free People takes a number of Sundays a year =
at the=20
WOW Hall (mostly during the winter months) to provide a hot meal, =
clothing, and=20
entertainment to the homeless folks iin Eugene. The Lost Dogs =
participated in=20
one of these events a couple of years ago and have been invited back =
again this=20
year.
You may not know this, but the "Dogs" have a heart for the =
homeless=20
and it is their vision that one day they would be able to tour from =
homeless=20
shelter to homeless shelter, spreading love, hope, and =
acceptance.
Coming=20
this December you will have an opportunity to support Free People, to =
help them=20
help others. Even if you cannot make it to the concert you can still buy =
a=20
ticket. This is definitely a worthwhile cause. All proceeds from ticket =
sales=20
are going to Free People.

Lo-Fidelity Presents:
Mike Roe of the Lost Dogs - "Harvest Loon" tour 2008
Please join us as Mike dons a turkey suit and rings in the harvest with a
continuation of his successful and much lauded "John The Baptist" and "Holy
Ghost Building" tours....
"The John The Baptist and 77s Holy Ghost Building tours played very well but
both were so brief. I really look forward to spending a couple weeks on the
road performing the new 77s album material to our fans in their homes,
church's and clubs. The new album was so much fun to premier in an intimate
acoustic setting and I would love to share it all again before the holidays
set in." - Mike Roe
Mike will again make a solo return to the road, playing both acoustic and
electric guitars, and featuring material from the recently released 77s
recording, "Holy Ghost Building" as well as doing special requests and fan

The Lost Dogs are heading to the West Coast for their annual Christmas tour.
If you live anywhere close by (or can get a cheap flight) you must come out!
I spoke to Terry yesterday and he happily revealed that he wrote a new
Christmas play to delight one and all. He describes it as a "twisted, freaky
masterpiece." Sounds perfect!
