Long time no nothing from the mighty gig list. But there is big stuff =
coming up on the near horizon=E2=80=A6 so either set your filters or =
stand by for the inside scoop on some amazing recent goings-on in MC =
music-land. Seriously.

With that in mind, here=E2=80=99s a little something in the =E2=80=9Cright=
 now=E2=80=9D.

This Monday, the 23rd, I'm going to be the guest of the great Guy Davis =
at the Coffee Gallery Backstage.=20

Guy=E2=80=99s a great bluesman, as well as an accomplished actor and =
activist. The son of Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, the apple didn=E2=80=99t =
fall far from the tree, and if that rhymes, that=E2=80=99s because he =
just naturally inspires that sort of thing. He=E2=80=99s full of songs =
and stories and history, and I promise you=E2=80=99ll dig the hell out =
of him.

Also (and this is why I=E2=80=99ve actually creaked into life and used =
this giglist for the first time in ages): This is a MONDAY. People =
don=E2=80=99t, especially in LA, tend to go out on Mondays. We know =
that. But Guy=E2=80=99s here on his way North, and this was our one =
chance to do something, and we=E2=80=99re doing it. Defy convention (and =
news about the convention). Have some fun on a Monday night. You won=E2=80=
=99t be out that late, and you=E2=80=99ll hear some great stuff.
