[MaxLite] [IMPORTANT] Do not leave you RW unattended !!!

Dear All,

 

Whenever we open up an RW, it holds up system resources for its exclusive
use. It happens behind the screen, you may not notice it though. As long as
it holds up resources, other person's access to those resources is limited
for the sake of data integrity. Rule#1: A set of data cannot be modified in
more that one place at the same time.

 

What happens to the user who's trying to access the resources which are
exclusively assigned to another user is. waiting. waiting. until the
resources are released from exclusive use. What if the user who takes up the
resource goes out for a lunch without releasing it?

 

Please do not leave your desk for a long time without closing RW screen. It
is a good practice to close unused RW screen by hitting 'ESC' key whenever
it is unnecessary. Please remember that your unattended RW can cause whole
system down. Do not leave your RW unattended. Your cooperation will be
highly appreciated. Thank you.
