Dear MaxLite Staff,
I want to take a few moments of your time to address an issue that affects
our productivity at MaxLite. With the development of today's IT technology,
i.e., E-mail system, we have increased a great deal of communication
internally and externally in terms of quantity as well as quality. Now we
have reached a point that there are too many E-mails that flood in, most of
which are essential for us to read but some are not quite necessary. In
order for us to increase our productivity I want to issue our E-mail
communication guideline/ettiquette as follows:
1. When writing an E-mail please include those who clearly need to
be addressed. If you are not sure if someone has to be copied on or not
then still copy that person.
2. When you receive a mail that you don't think you need to read,
please click "Respond" (not "Respond to All") and politely remind the sender
that you do not need to be copied on the subject. The sender should not
take this message as anything personal.
3. Majority of the unnecessary E-mail chains are floating around
when there are multiple parties copied initially for a good reason but when
the people who responds to that E-mail click "Respond to All". Please do
not automatically "Respond to All". Delete those who were copied on the
original E-mail that are not required to read your response before respond
to an E-mail.
Thank you for your cooperation.
