Dear All,
We will move our computers & printers by ourselves. Your computers/printers
are too important asset to you to let it move by moving company. Am I right?
Sure I am.
Plus, I do not think that I have enough time to help each one of you to pack
your computer/printer on that day because I have roomful equipments of
servers/devices/monitors/PBX/AC/Copiers in our server room aside from my own
stuffs.
Here go some of tips that can help you pack your gears:
1) The 3.0 sized moving box (Kitchen moving box) will be given to each
of you
- Make the box extra robust so it does not rupture during the move.
Remember your computer is a heavy machine.
2) Air cushion/air bubble/peanuts are available at warehouse.
- Your monitor is easy to break/scratched during the move. To
prevent this, I ask you to bring an old T-shirt/blanket to wrap it for extra
protection. (I live on 2 T-shirts, you got to bring your own, sorry.)
3) Normally your computer and monitor should be fit in one kitchen
moving box. Once you put your computer and monitor in a box, carefully put
your keyboard/mouse/cables into empty space so as to minimize the chance of
your computer and monitor bump each other in the box. I will ask warehouse
to provide you all the filling material (air bubble/air cushion/Styrofoam
peanut) you need on that day.
4) If you have to move your own printer, use extra box for its packing
(if you think you need one). Printer is a good stuff to move putting rear
seat without using additional box because it stays quietly in a moving car.
Do not put your printer onto the same box you use for your computer/monitor,
printer is un-stackable.
5) Properly named the box just in case you lose the package of your
computer/printer.
6) When you get to the new place, unpack the box and put
computer/monitor/printer on to the place where you want it to be.
7) Ask Sue/Zenny/Ted/Joon to reconnect it
I wish all of you DRIVE CAREFULLY on that day.
Sincerely,
Joon Kim
