Hi Joon,
I just wanted to confirm in writing that the trouble you had on 9/20
(reported to us at 5:39 pm), was caused by an outage at Verizon. In that
case Verizon reported to us that there was a "higher level outage" which
means that they experienced a problem that affected more than one customer.
As far as the problem you are experiencing today, we have isolated the issue
to be coming from Verizon but have not yet been told by Verizon what the
trouble is. We have escalated the problem through several levels of
managers at Verizon but as of right now there is no status or estimated time
of resolution from them.
As I mentioned, we will gladly forward your number to another number or set
up a voice mail so that people calling you will be able to leave a message.
If you want to do either of those, call us and we will do it. I will be
leaving at 5 tonight so if you decide on either one of those options please
call in to the customer care center so they can get it done right away.
I think once service is restored we need to come up with a plan for some
kind of redundancy in case the T-1 goes down in the future.
