To all associates:

 

It time for our Annual Campaign for our  'Bag-a- Lunch Help A Bunch
Campaign.'

 

According to the USDA, still a 1/3 of the edible food we produce in this
country is wasted.

 

Now considering that nationally

*	Over 49 million people in the United States live in hunger and more
than 16 million of these are children.
*	One in eight Americans do not have enough to eat and requires
emergency food assistance.
*	Women in insecure households frequently are at the greatest risk,
depriving themselves of nutritionally adequate foods to make them available
for their children and husbands

In our own communities 

*	1 out of 5 New Jersey families do not earn enough to afford the
basic necessities such as food and housing.  85% of these households have at
least one member who is employed.
*	1.6 million New Jerseyans are classified as working poor.
*	Nearly 750,000 people in New Jersey live at or below the poverty
level.
*	575,000 children (27%) in New Jersey live in low-income households.

It's  once again an opportunity for us to help and make a difference in our
community. 

 

MaxLite is continuing its'  support of  Table -To- Table  which is a
non-profit organization dedicated to feeding the  hungry. 

 

This year's Campaign will be Chaired by Christine Fitzgerald who will be
distributing Lunch Bags tomorrow 10/6/11

We need your help!  Please , join us  once again for a Company sponsored
barbecue lunch in our picnic area out back on Friday October 14th.

 

All you need to do is take the money you would normally spend on your lunch
(or more), and place it in the bag as a contribution to this worthy cause. 

Once again this year's picnic will be sponsored by MaxLite and Yon will be
Matching our employee contribution dollar for dollar with 100% of the
proceeds collected being sent to the ' Bag A Lunch Help A Bunch' campaign
for their October 20th fund raiser.  

 

So please join us in making a difference, and helping those less fortunate
than us.
