Future order will change to normal order at the point of allocation. Nearest

So, when exactly will product get allocated to the order?
Does the system automatically change it from future to regular order when it
hits the 30 day mark?
When is the next customer service training? I think it would be best to
have some examples to review on this.

Customer care/sales when looking at backorders you need to make sure you
have clicked future orders so you can view these as well and provide correct
information. If you scroll to the write it will show a required ship date,
from there you can provide accurate lead time.

Subject: [MaxLite] Future Orders
Dear All,
Please note that "future order" feature is now officially in action.
In order to add future orders, just check "Future" checkbox and system will
set your order line as new order type of "F(uture)". Please note that all
future orders should have requested-ship-day from 31 to 180 days out. Order
module will not accept orders which has requested-ship-date more than 180
days out than order day. That is to say, if you choose requested-ship-day
between 31 to 180 days out, order module will ask you to process your order
line as "Future" order.
Choosing "Future" order will neither allocate nor backorder your order item.
Allocation of future orders will happen at the point of PO receiving.
"Query orders" modules have new option of "Future" orders, which will query
all future orders.
