At the west side of Pioneer Park, the Town has two small ponds that have =
smooth thick ice suitable for skating.
The ponds are 500 feet from the west parking lot. On the south side of =
the pond, there is a bench to use while changing into skates and for =
spectators.

The Town will be assisting the Hickory Woods Homeowners Association with =
the creation of a skating area on top of the basketball court.
Due to the numerous days with above freezing temperatures it will be =
necessary to cover the basketball court with plastic and then flood the =
surface.
I hope to have that accomplished on Friday. Hopefully there will be ice =
for the weekend and next week.
