Green Valley picked up garbage and recycling north of Old Sauk Road on =
Tuesday and south of Old Sauk Road on Wednesday. The Blue containers =
that were delivered to residents is for recycling. The green trash =
containers will be delivered in late January or early February. Continue =
putting out garbage the same way you did in the past until you recieve =
the green trash container.
Green Valley uses separate trucks to pick up garbage and the recycling. =
Many people have called to say that either garbage or recycling has been =
picked up but not the other. With the blowing snow, Green Valley is way =
behing schedule on the Wednesday pickup. If they miss picking up your =
materials today, call customer service at 251-7878.
Recycling is picked up every other week. The schedule is on the back of =
the flyer that was sent out with the tax bills.
The schedule includes the dates for the holiday tree pickup and the two =
special clean up days when green valley will pickup large items at no =
charge (appliances and TVs are not included in the free pickup). A flyer =
listing the cost of removal of large items will be distributed with the =
trash containers.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make our way through =
this mid-winter conversion from one provided to another. We are working =
on moving the end of the contract into the summer so that if we ever =
again switch providers, we will not have to switch out containers and =
start a different service in winter.
