For those interested here is an opportunity to assist in a fall prairie
burn in the Town of Middleton. There are three burn units, nearly 30
acres in total, help would be appreciated especially on the more
complicated unit containing taller and dense grass. The exact day(s)
will be determined based on weather and availability of volunteers. This
Tuesday November 21st looks like the best day for sun and warm temps.
The location is at Prairie Home Estates, nearly two and one half miles
from the beltline, exit on Airport Road and go west, go north onto
Ellington Way, east onto Blazingstars Drive, meet at Richard Oberle's
home. 7428 Blazingstars Drive. Please contact Richard at home 608
826-0559 or via his cell phone 608 576-4357. Please wear clothing made
of natural fibers, bring leather gloves, some hard hats with face
shields may be provided as well as other equipment. No prior experience
is required, we will train and brief people as needed. Someone! to take
picture or use a movie camera as well would be appreciated.
