Last night, a group of people burned down the two port-a-potties in
Settlers Prairie Park. These people are apparently the same ones that
have taken the picnic tables from the shelters and put them on top of
the shelters' roof on Friday and Saturday night.

These two port-a-potties, the wood structure surrounding them and labor
represent approximately $3,000 in damages.

If you saw anything or know of anything connected to these incidents,
please call the Dane County Sheriff's Office at 608-284-6900.

The motive for this is unknown. It is possible that whoever did this
will target other parks in town. Please be vigilant and call Dane
County Sheriff Dispatch at 255-2345 if you see people loitering in the
park after dark. Please call 911 if you see suspicious activity or
people vandalizing property.
