The Town Yard Waste Program allows Town residents to bring yard waste to
the Town Hall to be composted. The Town pays to have this material
trucked to the Dane County Compost site so residents don't have to make
individual trips themselves. =20

The Town has been put on notice by Green Valley Disposal that materials
put into Town compost bins have not met Dane County Compost standards of
being limited to leaves, grass, plant clippings and other non-woody
material. No materials larger than a "finger" are to be in the
materials delivered to the Dane County Compost site. Materials
specifically excluded include woody materials (twigs and larger),
noxious weeds, root balls, branches, trash (ex: plastic bags,
Styrofoam), etc.

The Town has had a long and successful history of supporting this
service to residents in the past. We ask for your support in being able
to continue this service into the future by restricting materials placed
into the Town compost container to only those things approved by Dane
County Compost Site. For more information about the site and costs
associated with vehicles bringing materials to the site, including
