This week, a crew from BioLogic Environmental Consulting will be
applying herbicide to cut stems of invasive brush within the wooded
areas of Settler's Prairie Park.  The goal of this work is to improve
the health of the oak trees and native plants within the park. As the
invasives are removed from the park, the wildlife habitat value of the
area will improve.

Treated areas will be marked with a blue or red dye, and the crew will
post signs around any area treated with herbicide. Park visitors,
including pets, are advised to avoid posted areas for at least 12 hours
following herbicide application.
