The Town has contracted to have the roads listed below chip-sealed (tar
& pea-gravel). This is scheduled to start next week, as early as
Monday, weather permitting. =20

=20

This process leaves loose pea-gravel on the road for a period of time
(2-5 days). The contractor will sweep the roads after the tar has set.
We know it is a little messy and inconvenient but it is still the best
value when it comes to road maintenance and we are trying to hold the
line on expenses. Please drive slowly where there is loose gravel. As
the tar is applied, it may spray over the edge of the road onto
driveways, mailboxes, grass, etc. If you are concerned about this,
please cover items within 2 feet of the road edge which you are
concerned about.
