For those who still want to place chipping material curbside in 2011,
the last chipping pass through the town will begin the week of November
7, 2011. As always, have material properly positioned for the crew to
move through the Town in an orderly way:

* Deposit only woody materials.
* Small twigs should be placed in a paper sack (that will be
shredded with the twigs) or on a tarp, wheel barrow or other container
that will be left after putting the twigs into the shredder.
* Limbs up to 6 inches in diameter are acceptable and do not
need to be cut into shorter lengths.
* Butt ends of limbs should face the road.
* Materials should be placed into piles that can be picked up
(armload size) by the crew. Multiple armload sized piles are the
solution when a single pile becomes more than a crewperson can easily
grasp. =20
* No materials with non-organic material (rocks, sand, metal,
etc.) will be shredded since these materials damage the chipping
equipment and pose a safety hazard to the operators.

Also, let the Town know if you want a load of chips from this last pass
through the Town - be ready to provide name, address, phone number,
location to place the chips, and number of loads desired (each load is
approximately 3 cubic yards).
