Voter Registration
Voter registration between now and the Friday before the election can be
done in Town Offices only. Completion of an on-line voter registration
form can be done at https://myvote.wi.gov. The form should then be
printed off, signed and brought to Town Offices along with proof of
residency (qualified proof of residence documents are detailed on the
second page of the printed form and should contain both the voter's name
and current Town address). Forms are also available at the Town. =20
=20
Voters can also register on Election Day, but are encouraged to register
in advance to minimize delays in their ability to vote on Election Day.
=20
Changes to voter registration require residence in the Town for a
minimum of 28 days before the current election date (not including the
Election Day) or have resided in the town on or before October 9, 2012.=20
=20
Existing Wisconsin Residents: For voters residing in the Town less that
that time who moved from other locations within Wisconsin, they can vote
at their previous polling place or request absentee ballots by mail from
their previous polling place. The deadline for requesting a mail
absentee ballot is November 1.
=20
New Wisconsin Residents: There are separate rules for residents new to
Wisconsin to comply with the 28 day residency rule. If you have
questions, it would be best to contact the Town to understand the
impacts for each specific situation.
=20
If you have questions about whether you are registered to vote and/or
the jurisdiction to register in, the My Vote website above is a
excellent resource.=20
=20
As always, if you have questions call the Town at 833-5887.
