Thursday Tornado Drill on Schedule

As part of Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin, a
test Tornado Watch and Tornado Warning is scheduled for Thursday
afternoon, April 24th. =20

Widespread rain showers are expected over Wisconsin during much of
Thursday with a few embedded thunderstorms in the central and south as
low pressure moves across the Upper Midwest. However, no severe weather
is expected at this time.

After coordination with Wisconsin Emergency Management, the Wisconsin
Broadcasters Association and the Emergency Communications Board, the
test Tornado Watch and test Tornado Warning will proceed as scheduled on
Thursday.

The test Tornado Watch will be issued for all of Wisconsin at 1 pm CDT
Thursday. The test Tornado Warning will be issued for all of Wisconsin
at 145 pm CDT Thursday. The Tornado Watch and Tornado Warning test will
conclude at 2 pm CDT.=20

This will be a good time for businesses, schools, hospitals and families
to practice safe procedures for severe weather.
