Several years ago, the Town purchased 15 acres of lands south of the
Town Hall and north of Heather Knoll when it was available for sale. The
purchase was made in consideration of the expansion of the Town Fire
Station and for additional area for the Sheriff's Offices. In addition,
the lands abutted existing parkland and could be of use to the Town.=20
1) The Board is now discussing possible development of this area and is
looking at a possible layout. =20

2) The Town is considering placing a parking lot in the northern portion
of the land (behind the Fire Station) to serve Pioneer Park and to add
some storage area for salt, sand, gravel: other materials and/or
off-season equipment.
The Town would like to hear from the public on this matter. We are
inviting everyone to weigh in on its future.
Please join the Town Board on Monday, February 3rd at 7:00pm so they can
hear from you as to your reactions to what has been proposed as well as
other ideas for land usage as well.
