The Town of Middleton today announced Standard and Poor's Rating
Services updated its credit rating to AAA from AA+.=20

"No other towns in Wisconsin have earned an AAA rating," said David
Shaw, Town administrator. "Only five other Wisconsin municipalities have
achieved this rating, the Cities of Appleton, Brookfield, New Berlin,
Madison and Wauwatosa."

The March 5, 2014, S&P report stated

Shaw said, "The higher the rating, the less money the Town of Middleton
is likely to pay in interest costs for future bonds. This robust
financial picture just adds to the other quality of life factors in the
Town." Town Chair Milo Breunig added, "We are all very proud of this
accomplishment and how it reflects on the Town's Board, Finance
Committee, and Staff, especially our Deputy Treasurer, Patti Keichinger,
in addition to the Community as a whole."
