As many of =
you know, the Ironman Triathlon will take place along Timber Lane in the =
Town this weekend. I have attached a map of the route for your =
reference.
The information printed by the race sponsors indicates =
that roads will be “closed”. I have spoken with the race =
organizer and he has assured me that people will be able to get in and =
out of their properties. In fact, he asked me to pass on the message =
below explaining how they will manage car and bicycle traffic. =
“Ironman Wisconsin =

2600 athletes from every state and over 15 countries to take part in the =
event. While we know this event can be an inconvenience to people who =
are not involved in the event, your patience and friendliness are what =
make this event special to those involved. Roads will be crowded with =
bicycles but every effort is made with law enforcement at intersections, =
to get residents to and from their homes with as little trouble as =
possible. Please use caution when driving on the roads and follow the =

invite you to spend a beautiful afternoon in the conservancy and hear =
the history of the land in the Town of Middleton. This is a great =

opportunity. Featured presenters will be positioned at different =
sites throughout the conservancy. Participants will (1) hear how =
the land was formed by glaciers; (2) see native plants from the prairies =
that existed here hundreds of years ago; (3) learn how the Native =
Americans gardened and made stone tools; (4) visit the site of a late =
1800’s settlers cabin; and (5) see first-hand how the CCC and SCS =
worked to control erosion in the 1930’s dust bowl era. For =
$2 per person, take a hay ride along the Madison sky-line in a wagon =
