Hello from Somerville! As many of you know, I spent most of January
in Hanoi, Vietnam teaching at the Hanoi Contemporary Arts Center where
I taught lithography to 8 amazing local artists. Some of them were
familiar with printmaking, some had never tried it. The workshop was
a great success with 11 editions produced by 8 artists in 12 days on 1
press. It was a feat of focus and flexibility, and I=E2=80=99m proud of
what we accomplished. =20
As I promised in my email from Hanoi, a showing of prints from the
workshop is currently on view in the Gallery at Muskat Studios. The
prints we produced are from diverse artists which is evident in the
work on display.=20
We will have a reception in the gallery at which I will be screening
a slide show of the workshop and my post-teaching travels. =20
Come spend a little time enjoying the Art of Hanoi in the Gallery at
Muskat Studios on Saturday, March 3rd from 4 to 6 pm. My talk will be
from 5:00 to 6:00 and will include both photos from the trip and a
discussion of contemporary art in Vietnam.=20
