Although we don't like it, Labor Day has come and gone, and the
carefree days of summer are behind us.  The good news is that Muskat
Studios has a busy fall season coming up and we wanted to drop a quick
email to let you know about our next event.

	An artist statement from Jonathan Cartledge:=20
	Since  the late nineties, I have worked with rabbit characters in a
variety of  media. Recently, my characters have been exploring the
world around  them, portraying scenes of scientific discovery from the
history of  biology and geology, working out the conceptual puzzles
that describe  the inner workings of their environment. It is my hope
that the viewer  sees a strange reflection of human discovery in a new
prey species  =E2=80=9Crediscovering=E2=80=9D the world they inhabit. =20
	This new  selection of prints from the ongoing =E2=80=9CAssessment
Portfolio,=E2=80=9D focuses not  on historical discoveries of natural
science, but in the evaluative  procedures current natural scientists
use on a regular basis to  evaluate, understand and describe the
environment. Rather than focus on  the =E2=80=9Cflashpoints=E2=80=9D of dis=
covery,
the focus of this portfolio is the daily  work that slowly builds to
larger discoveries.=20
