Happy February! Although the snow is as high as our heads, and the temps a=
re as cold as the arctic, Muskat Studios is a hotbed of activity. We are k=
eeping busy while we wait for=20
the warmer weather to arrive. Several events are coming in the next few we=
eks and we wanted to be sure you had time to make plans to join us.=20

Carolyn Muskat will talk about her recent residency experience in Sasaran, =
Malaysia (where it was very warm!). Carolyn spent two weeks in the tropics=
at the 2014 Sasaran=20
International Art Festival, where 71 artists from 23 countries gathered fro=
m around the world to make art, collaborate, and exchange ideas. The only =
artist from the US, Carolyn=20
made several friends with whom she maintains contact online. Carolyn will =
talk about traveling half-way around the world to live and make art in a se=
tting that leads to innovation=20
and creativity in both subject and methods.

e third annual Iron Printmakers, a student printmaking competition between =
four colleges (MassArt, Lesley=20
University, BU, SMFA). Each team has a limited time to create an edition o=
f 10 prints incorporating intaglio, litho, screenprint, and relief =E2=80=
=93 plus Mystery Ingredients! It=E2=80=99s a high-
pressure event, and if you enjoy printmaking, it is a blast to see! Join u=
s and cheer on the next generation of printmakers!
