FireFox is an open source (Mozilla) web browser that I would have to
recommend, especially for PC users. It blocks pop-ups, spyware and
doesn't support Active X. This all means that's it would be much
more unlikely for you to pick up a virus from the www while using
FireFox. Once installed, FireFox will prompt you to import settings,
passwords and bookmarks from your other browser(s). They also have a
good FTP client available called, FileZilla.
LCSI doesn't officially support the MicroWorlds WebPlayer under
Mozilla. When you run the WebPlayer's installer it won't recognize
or prompt you to install to FireFox. However, if you've installed
both the Windows versions of the .mw2 (2.0 and Pro projects) and the
.mwx (EX projects) WebPlayers, simply copy the contents of your
Internet Explorer's Plug-in folder into FireFoxe's plug-in folder and
you should be able to run .mw2,.mwz and .mwx projects with FireFox.
Let me know if you have any questions.
