Hello everyone,
The time is finally here! In what has felt like a
lifetime of blood, sweat and tears, I am pleased to
announce that we have finally put the finishing
touches on the Last Poets upcoming Tribute Album "When
We Come Together". Special guests on the album
include Kanye West, Erykah Badu, Common, John Legend,
Dead Prez, Bilal, Chuck D., Doug E. Fresh, Sadat X,
Buckshot, Keith Murray and many others.
To commemorate this event next Monday, March 7th, The
Last Poets, will be performing live at Joe's Pub for
one night only. Hope to see u all there! Details are
below:
The Last Poets, Soulstar, The Lyricist Lounge, and
Animal Steele present:

Performing selections from their upcoming album "When
We Come Together"
Featuring Performances By:

The A-Alikes

Also there will be a special advance Screening of The
Last Poets Documentary "Through These Eyes" the making
of the tribute album "When We Come Together" directed
by John Gutierrez.
Showtime is 10PM Sharp
Monday March 7th @ Joe's Pub
425 Lafayette Place off Astor Place.
$10 admission.
They also are featured in Common's new single 'The
Corner'. I've attached a link to Common's website
where you can watch the video directed by Kanye West.
