I am looking for the father of Abraham Sh= elby, born about 1775 in SC, died between 1840-1850 in Hickman county, TN. &= nbsp;He was married to Priscilla about 1800 in Anson county, NC.

I also have Shelby relatives in Hickman County. My greatgreat grandfather w= as named Troy Shelby Broom and he lived his whole adult life in Hickman Coun= ty. His mother was Mary Shelby Broom Beck, daughter of Thomas and Hannah She= lby who died in Maury county in the 1820's. Troy Broom lived until 1872. I h= ave met some of the Hickman county Shelbys, descendants of Abraham, I think.= I have never been able to make the connection between Abraham Shelby and Pr= iscilla - I know she was in Hickman County and I know that Abraham Shelby wa= s mentioned as living near Thomas Shelby in North Carolina. Do you have all = this? Do you have some actual marriage data? - I personally think that= what your great grandmother said was very likely correct, and I have the gr= eatest respect for this type of information. I have some information about l= ater Shelbys in Hickman county, but will have to dig it out after Christmas = when I will certainly do so. The thing was, I never could place them. There = was, if I remember, an Alston or Alton Shelby. He was associated with a fami= ly named Skipper. (This is off the top of my head, and I will certainly try = to verify it in the new year.) The ones that most interest me are: Vardaman = Shelby who is closely associated with the Thomas Shelby and his family in th= e earlier days in Tennessee, and William M Shelby who lived in t= he same house as Troy Shelby Broom in 1850 and 1860. He worked as a clerk in= a store owned by the Clagetts in Centerville. I don't think he was the Will= iam Alston Shelby that you mention. I have always hoped that if ever we coul= d identify these two men (and I suspect they connect some way to Abrah= am Shelby) we'd have something solid to go on.

Originally I thought she was the Daughter of Evan and Catherine but I have seen that this is incorrect. I am actually descended from her and don't know if anyone has ever been in contact with anyone else directly from her line. My descendancy is as follows:
