Hello All,

Just returned from Wales. What a Great trip! I LOVE Wales. It is a
beautiful place, still very clean and simple. You always hear how green Ireland is.
Wales is just as green and much cleaner. I have fallen in love with the
Welsh language and the Hedge Rows! Met Trev's cousins (2nd they are). They were
wonderful, happy and laughting all the time.
They have lived in the same location (Aberdare) for 6 generations. One of
the cousins still lives in the old family home.

No luck with finding the Port and Ship from and on which the Selby/Shelby's
came to America. I was told there that the best place to find that information
is in the place of arrival..., which would be PA. I spent the whole day in
the Library at Aberystwyth to no avail. Did go to Tregaron, and St. Caron's.
Didn't turn up any gravestones for Philip and Margaretta. St. Caron's has an
extra full cemetery, and no headstones old enough to be theirs. The church is
so old that there are bound to be thousands buried in those grounds. I did
visit "Derlwyn", the Selby's old homestead land which lies between the two
rivers of Croes and Berwyn. Nothing is left of the house. Have photos of St.
Caron's and the Derlwyn Valley and will send in another email.

Have a Great Day!
Martha
