Squaw Valley...8700'...I can see about 60-70% of the surface of Lake =
Tahoe in the distance, backdropped by snow covered mountains..I ponder =
the Blue/Black dropoff in front of me and wonder how much it will hurt =
if I catch an edge on the way down...It's quiet except for the wind and =
the sound of the lift chair...Blue skies reflect on the lake...stayed up =
late the night before reading in the van, parked in the Squaw Valley =
parking lot.....Breakfast of cinnamon roll and Peet's coffee....Tommorow =
off to Northstar, supposed to have nice long intermediate runs....hoping =
my knees hold up....then a quick trip back to San Francisco to attend my =
only Christmas party of the year...followed by a week in Oregon; Mt =
Bachelor, Mt Hood...My mind clears, over the precipice I go...quick =
turns to bleed off speed...I do catch an edge....Sky, Ground, Sky, =
Ground pass before my eyes...I land almost upright (after the bounce) =
and pop up....the worst possibility realized, I shrug off last shreds of =
doubt and point my board straight for the bottom................ :-0 =
 :-) :-0 :-) :-0 :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
