I ordered only volume 1, which goes up to 1853 only - so it would be just
the very first bunch - the original immigrants and those who came over in
the next few years (I know of various wives and children, poor old Augustin
Day who sold his farm and stock and then had a bit of a stroke, so he
couldn't go on the first ship, and the Petherams from Chapel Allerton). You
can order the others through the LDS FH Centres. Because they are
microfiches they cost pennies and I think they can stay for ever, more or
less.

Roger Roper listed some people from the ships' lists, and I listed some
from the 1850 census, and we have a few names from Halbach. Depending on
the info recorded, I should be able to make up a fairly good file of the
adult males, at least - which I would expect to be more accurate than the
other sources.
