Re: [WED]Westover DiaryHi Michael

All things being equal, I hope to have a contact address for William G. =
Hall on Monday. That being the case, I'll let you have the details =
Monday evening (BST - Lord knows what that is your time!). If you can =
find out if he will allow you to place his edited version on this =
website, that's great. I can only add to what Nancy said - if you need =
it typing, I'm happy to oblige, or if he agrees that we may photocopy =
the edited diary in the Somerset Studies Library, I'm happy to do that =
also. (Don't shout it from the rooftops, but I'm actually going to be =
looking for some transcription work to keep me going now the family =
tree's come together so well!).

We forgive you for being a lazy tyke. It gave us a chance to run =
rampant all over your website!

Cheers!

Sue

  A couple of things...

1.. I'd love to make the diary available at the Wedmore web site.=20
2.. Copyright would belong to the person who either typed the =
document, or the person that they gave the ownership of the document to. =

3.. It is my experience that the keepers of copyright are quite =
happy to give the right of duplication to a site such as the Wedmore =
site, as no one is making any money from the site, and its sole purpose =
is to promote access to information.=20
4.. If we had a photocopy of the document an optical character =
reader could convert it into a computer based document (which is a lot =
easier on the fingers, than typing)

So...If someone wanted to give me contact information I would be happy =
to seek permission for the right to reproduce the diary on the Wedmore =
site. The only thing left would be to get a copy, which the owner may =
provide for the cost of copying.

My work situation is going to be calming down in the next couple of =
weeks, which means I hope to get off my lazy butt and put some new =
information on the web site. I really do apologize for not having done =
much of late, but things have been really crazy for me.

I promise to be a better webmaster in the coming months.

  Take care, everyone.
