  Subject: [frers-list]Keel Fairing, Keel Templates

  Dear Frers 33 Members,

For some unexplainable reason, several small sections of the starboard =
side of the keel lost some of its fairing and therefore needs to be =
stripped and refaired.=20

Perhaps a year ago, there was discussions regarding keel templates and =
a that a set of templates existed or had been made. =20

  Question:
Is their a set of template drawings for the keel that can be converted =
into a set of templates and is it possible to get a copy.

Also, I plan to use WEST System Epoxy with a low density filler. Does =
anyone feel there is another or better alternative they would recommend.

The Frers design specifications sheet indicated that the keels were =
faired with vinylester resin and biaxial glass. I assume the biaxial =
glass they are referring to was just for the trailing edge, since my =
keel is certainly not fully encapsulated in glass. Is that a correct =
assumption or were some keels fully glassed when the were faired?

  Thanks

  Don Horton
