Hi Scott,
=A0
That's where my pump for the shower drain is located. Are you saying that i=
s where your bilge pump is too?
=A0
Nice meeting you yesterday.

Risoluto has a pump mounted on the bulkhead wall uner the vanity in the hea=
d.=A0 The discharge is piped out the side of the boat in the area of the he=
ad via a short hose.=A0 A smaller person can reach the pump for servicing a=
nd the hose run is short for limited resistance.

The previous owners for Relentless mounted a bilge pump in the port locker =
under the port berth near the bulkhead wall of the head and just forward of=
the batteries.=A0 This works well and allows you some elbow room to replac=
e the diaphragm periodically although I never have replaced it.=A0 I bought=
a small auto pump that would fit down fairly deep in the bilge and that ha=
s worked pretty well.=A0 One thing that does affect water pump out ability =
and you see it everywhere is the tubing that is corrugated.=A0 Each little =
grove in that line slows the flow.=A0 For the best flow, and I didn't use i=
t but should have, you want a smooth walled line.

Hi Rod,
=A0
Wolverine's=A0manual bilge pump is in the same location as yours and needs =
to be repaired/replaced. If you know anyone small enough to get back there,=
let me know.
=A0
Our automatic bilge pump is mounted near the fresh water system pump on the=
starboard side aft of the engine. It's accessible from the cockpit lazeret=
te.=20
=A0
Do I owe you any other measurements or photos for the tuning guide?=20

Hi Fellow Frers 33 Sailors;
=A0
Hope you all had a great season.=A0 We've had the Tuning Guide posted for a=
few months now.=A0 I have a few minor changes to finalize it (rig measurem=
ents) so if anyone has any additional suggestions please let me know.
=A0
The second item I have relates to some problem areas relating to bilge pump=
location and operation.
The manual bilge pump is located on the port side of the cockpit just aft o=
f the wheel and discharges overboard near the waterline.=A0 Convenient loca=
tion but a long haul for the water to get overboard.=A0 I seem to be loosin=
g suction.=A0 Difficult area to get to.=A0 Has anyone experienced this prob=
lem and if so how did you rectify it?
Electric bilge pump located under the port settee with the discharge port s=
ide aft just above the manual bilge pump near the gunwhale.=A0 There is a f=
loat switch in the bilge and a strainer in the hose before it enters the pu=
mp.=A0 Either the pump is too small, not working properly or the discharge =
hose is too long.=A0 The result is that even if the bilge is full it takes =
forever to empty it using the electric bilge pump.=A0 Wondering if everyone=
has the same arrangement of if some have moved the bilge pump discharge lo=
cation closer to the pump.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
