I've raced the Frere 33 extensively for the last 5 years over 500 miles and I would say this is NOT an offshore boat. It has to little freeboard and is much to tender of a boat. I've sailed the boat once in gale force winds and it was a constant effort to maintain control. Don't take this boat offshore.
