First your going to need really, really good hose.=C2=A0 I recommend Triden=
t Premium Sanitation Hose (Black) from Defender Marine.=C2=A0 It's not chea=
p at $7.99 a foot but there is no (NONE)=C2=A0smell from this hose.=C2=A0 I=
've had it now on the boat for 5 years, no problems.=C2=A0 Next you're goin=
g to want a thick walled rigid plastic tank.=C2=A0 You buy a flexible tank =
and=C2=A0it=C2=A0will stink and you will be sorry.=C2=A0 Someone suggested =
a stainless steel tank once.=C2=A0 You buy that and you're boat will eventu=
ally be filled with waste water.=C2=A0 Nothing but acid is more corrosive t=
han human waste.=C2=A0 It will eat right through SS but has no affect on pl=
astic.=C2=A0 I located my tank forward on the port side.=C2=A0 Everything f=
rom the head is pumped directly into the tank.=C2=A0 From the tank there is=
a Y valve which allows a pump out or overboard discharge if you're offshor=
e.
=C2=A0
My tank is smallish may be 20 maybe 15 gallons but it was the biggest tank =
that would fit up front.
=C2=A0
=C2=A0 I think the hose wound up costing me somewhere near $350.=C2=A0 But =
when I sleep in the V-birth just=C2=A03 inches from that stuff and don't sm=
ell anything bad=C2=A0I know it was one of the better boat=C2=A0investments=

Ed,

Been poking into some of the same issues. Check out the Raritan site for ta=
nks, and really good odor control info.

1)=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 I am looking to replace the original bladd=
er water tank, with a rigid tank, moving it to the starboard side. Does any=
one know of a good source for a good fitting tank? I would like to have it =
as far aft and low as possible, with a capacity of about 20 =E2=80=93 30 ga=

=C2=A0
2)=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 I=E2=80=99m also in the process of trying =
to fix/improve the holding tank/plumbing set up. Trying to eliminate the po=
tential for future odor problems. The current set up is not original. Does =
anyone have the original layout of the tank & plumbing for it? I=E2=80=99ve=
seen the set up on Moose, custom tanks and clean. Only problem everything =
is forward, not exactly where I want the weight.=20

Removing the remaining hoses are going to be a real chore as the tank was p=
